A luminous orb that is slowly formed in the body of a benevolent Dragon once it reaches a very old age, typically in the thousands of years. The dragon will carry the orb in its mouth or talons. Is is said that Dragons with 5 or 4 toes are more adept at carrying orbs. The Dragon Orb is a legendary relic thought to symbolize the dragon's wisdom, age and strength. On rare occasions, a benevolent dragon might give the orb to someone they deem worthy. Carrying the knowledge of a dragon, one usually becomes a great leader. 

Obtained from the body of an Elder Dragon in Monster Hunter. Not much is known about this substance except that it can be used in crafting weapons and armor of massive power. Difficult to work with and very dangerous, it is said that Hunters who spend too much time around weapons created with Elder Dragon Blood lose their minds.
